SUMMARY
This was my last strength workout before the meet this Saturday. I may do some mid-torso work today, maybe some more block starts in the next couple days. I observed no improvement in starts after changing lead legs in April. I’m reverting to my old starting position (left leg forward). in this meet. It just feels more coordinated.
The deadlifts today were moderately difficult on the last 2 lifts. (I’ve never lifted 345 x 5 before).
I have some inflexibility in my ankles and shins – no sprinting until Saturday to avoid calf problems.
Bench press is weak – right shoulder, chest, upper back tightened up immediately after. (I obviously scrambled something with my last bench press workout – high reps with chains).
Can’t remember when I last attempted a clean – several months ago. Really rusty, no technique.
